Denim is an enduring classic. Laura Davis discovers how versatile it can be

JEANS are like cockroaches – they’re made to survive the ages.
There could be a revolution in the fashion world and anything vaguely wearable could be ditched for neon chiffon flares and knitted stilettos, and there would still be pairs in the shops.
Wherever you stand on the whole skinny versus boot-cut debate, you’ll be glad to rely on denim as we cross over the seasons to autumn/ winter, even if you did only fly back from your summer holiday last week.
The fabric is also available in more trend-led designs, too, such as denim corset dresses and shorter lengths.

METQUARTER, in Liverpool city centre, is the location for this week’s fashion shoot.
The high-end shopping centre was opened in spring, 2006, and incorporates the Grade II-listed former Victoria Street post office.
Lines for the new season are already starting to arrive in store.
