IT DOESN’T matter if nobody knows you’re wearing it, the feeling of luxurious underwear close to your skin is one that’s hard to beat.

Although, in reality, our knicker drawers tend to be filled with practical pants and T-shirt bras, we all dream of owning a vast collection of grown-up girls’ lingerie.

Colour is a key feature this season, with pinks, warm reds and corals as well as the traditional blacks and whites.

And, if you don’t receive a tissue paper-lined box of underwear for Valentine’s, you could always treat yourself later.
