We’re talking in the High Street on tops, skirts but especially on floral dresses, which pop up perennially at this time of year in most of the shops, reminding us that light nights and balmy days are just around the corner.
So, yes, it might still be minus five and foggy outside, but inside or under a cardie – or five – you, at least can be blooming.

THIS week’s fashion shoot took place in the elegant surroundings of the Mocha Lounge, a coffee shop in the heart of Liverpool.
It opened last month and its airy interior is making it a hit for networking events and get-togethers, while intimate corners provide a sanctuary for weary shoppers.

Open until 9pm on Thursday and Friday, it serves a wide choice of speciality teas and coffees plus delicious cakes and light bites.
