Italian luxury marks Burton’s new season

HIGH Street menswear favourite Burton takes its premium and stylish Black Label collection into its second season with a high design-led range packed with luxury fabrics and attention to detail.

Spring’s colour palette lightens up to include pastels in pink, blue, cream and white, however shades of black, blue and grey offer a contrasting finish.

For those men who like the finer things in life, the Black Label shirts are tailored from 100% compact premium cotton woven in the finest Italian mills while this season’s silhouette takes on a slimmer fitting and features intricate detailing such as mother of pearl buttons and two-piece sleeves.

If you are not fond of the stiff, starched finish the shirts are laundered to give a softer, worn-in, dressed down summer look.

Knitwear helps men make the transition from winter to spring but goes lighter and brighter with 16-gauge fine Merino wool cardigans and two-tone colouring that look great layered over dark polo shirts while tank-top cardigans are set to be one of this season’s must have items.

For those still rocking the smart suit look, Black Label’s spring/summer tailoring features one and two button summer weight three-piece suits that come in light-grey new wool pinstripe or blue satin cotton – suit, pictured left, jacket £100, trousers £50.

Outerwear, mean-while, features a coated Italian cotton gabardine and a single breasted summer Mac, pictured above, priced £80, both of which are great versatile pieces. Pair with a shirt and tie for a smarter look or for something more relaxed try a simple crew neck pima cotton T-shirt and scarf.
