Fashion: Men's style that’s well suited to any occasion

Vivienne Westwood has got just what it takes to keep any man looking good, whatever he’s doing. Laura Davis reports

FOR this season’s MAN collection, Vivienne Westwood was inspired by the image of an art lover taking in the Grand Tour of Europe.

A cultured type, he is equally happy visiting an archeological site as tucking into a bowl of spaghetti in a ristorante, and his wardrobe is easily adapted to ensure he looks stylish no matter what his pursuits abroad.

Of course, most Style City readers are more likely to be spending spring behind a desk than wandering down Parisian boulevards and sipping cappuccino on a gondola.

But, as Liverpool is officially Europe’s top cultural destination of the year, there’s no reason why the city’s male residents shouldn’t be seen out in this fabulous new collection.

ROOM restaurant, in the old home of Midland Bank, is the setting for this week’s fashion shoot.

Situated within the boutique hotel 62 Castle Street, it retains the building’s beautiful domed ceiling and has wonderful views of the Victoria monument through its enormous arched windows.

The restaurant’s menus are influenced by retro dishes that could have been found in a 1970s British pub, with each dish given a contemporary twist.
