WITH her fabulous wedding dress set to take centre-stage in the movie, Vivienne Westwood fever is sure to grip the nation.

Carrie’s diaphanous bridal gown is a breathtaking masterpiece from the Dame’s Gold Label autumn/winter 08, which features silhouettes with exaggerated darts, nipped-in waists and pointy sculptural busts.

Made from generous amounts of silk, the top of Carrie’s dress is based on a corset made from gold- backed ivory silk satin duchess, while the underskirt is made of ivory silk Radzimir taffeta and the veil is Champagne silk tulle.

And Carrie-obsessed brides-to-be can emulate their heroine because the gown will be available to order from the Liverpool boutique, priced from £9,500.

If that is a bit beyond your budget, you might like to treat yourself to the Vivienne Westwood number which Liverpool’s Kim Cattrall, who plays man-eater Samantha Jones, wore for the movie’s London premiere.

Although Kim’s dress was designed specifically for her in that colour, the butter nut corset dress will be in the Liverpool store next season.
