IF THE launch of scores of new shops at Liverpool One isn’t something to celebrate, then we at Style City don’t know what is, so this week’s fashion shoot features a selection of party dresses from the brand new Debenhams store.

This season, it’s all about extremes – prom-style frocks are a big look, with layers of netting to give a more exaggerated form, but ankle-length, streamlined shapes are also a popular style for the summer.

The location is Raven, the latest venture from the people behind Negresco, Korova and Circo. The Emerald Isle is the inspiration for this bar-restaurant, aimed at those who “want to enjoy a great pint of Guinness, or a glass of Champagne, but who also want to dress up for dinner”.
