Emma Pinch shows you how to let your imagination run wild with one of the summer’s hot trends

EVERY summer, safari-style hits the shops, and it’s an odd thing, really.

Here you are dressing up as if you’re off to track big game over the Masai Mara when, sadly, you’re more likely to be tracking errant invoices than animals and embarking on journeys no more hair-raising than cross- ing the road for a sarnie.

But, in summer, we let our imaginations off the leash. In body, we might be hunched over a keyboard, squinting against the artificial light, but in spirit we’re bumping over the baking Savannah; trailing a hand in the sparkling blue water from a yacht in Cannes . . . you get the picture.

In fact, the safari look is eminently practical, and if you dispense the binoculars and possibly the rifle, just as suitable for the office as Africa.
