Emma Pinch checks out the PJs that will keep you beautiful in the boudoir
Above left: Papinelle paisley ribbed Henley top, £19, and Jessica floral pants, £35. Above right: Cyberjammies Pyjama Party top, £18, and matching bottoms, £18
WE ALL love our jammies, don’t we? Some ladies love them so much they take the kids to school wearing them. And pick them up at quarter past three wearing them, too. Tut, tut.
It’s understandable, though. Pyjamas are the sartorial equivalent of mashed potato and cheese, or fish finger sandwiches with white bread.
Above left: Papinelle cashmere blend pink slip, £65. Above right: Eberjay petites fleurs chemise, £45
At bedtime, after all those hours standing around in heels and nipped-in waists, the watchword is cosiness and comfort. But it’s not all about grandad checks and winceyette.
There are also some cute but equally comfy slips out there for when you fancy something more flirty.
Right: Lepel Claudine cami-top, £16, and French knickers, £14
* THE setting for this week’s photo-shoot is the glamorous Burbopoint development on the Sefton coast at Blundellsands. The art deco-inspired development consists of 21 two- and three-bed luxury apartments, starting at £550,000.
Each apartment comes with unobstructed views to the North Wales mountains across Liverpool Bay, and over the tranquil greens of West Lancs golf course.
Jewel in the crown of the low-rise beach-front development is the £1.7m penthouse, with broad wraparound balconies and a glass turret room.
Right: Ted Baker serendipity eve camisole, £30, and Ted Baker long pyjama bottom, £45
