The new stores coming to Liverpool

Liverpool one
IT DOES not seem five minutes since I was standing on the corner of Lord Street and Church Street and waiting for the curtain to open on the biggest thing to happen to shopping in Liverpool in decades.
But, incredibly, it is now almost four months since we first set foot inside the glorious shops and streets of the first phase of Liverpool One (and doesn’t my bank manager know it).
Next week, after much anticipation, we will see the unveiling of the second phase of the city’s ultimate retail destination with a clutch of new stores, not to mention a 14-screen Odeon cinema and a host of bars and restaurants as the doors are thrown open to the new-look Chavasse Park and the Leisure Terrace.
While some of the new shops will open on September 30, the Leisure Terrace and the rest of Phase Two will officially open in a fashion extravaganza on October 1.
Here we give you the highlights on some of the newcomers to Liverpool . . . and, remember, there is still lots more to come!
Fred Perry
SPORTSWEAR fans and, indeed, kids will be delighted at the arrival of Fred Perry’s first standalone store in the city. From the sleek sweaters to the signature polo shirts to the fabulous accessories, it is all here.
L’Occitane
BEAUTY fans will be delighted when the French beauty brand opens its store in Liverpool One. A unique beauty brand, beloved across the world, L’Occitane focuses on the well- being of men and women and the all natural products include skincare, bodycare, fragrances, bath and home all created in the traditional Provencal way.
Urban Outfitters
LOOKING for something hip, hot and a bit different? Then you will find it here. Urban Outfitters brings a rebel flavour to the high street, stocking everything from designer dresses to sweaters to fabulous accessories. It even stocks homewares and is fantastic when you are looking for something a bit out of the ordinary. We can’t wait to get our hands on the Luella Bartley range.
USC
FEATURING brands such as Diesel, Bench, Replay, Gio Goi and Firetrap, USC is the perfect place for branded clothing. Also a great stop for the jeans connoisseur.
Radley
IF YOU love bags, then this brand needs no introduction. Famous for its dog motif, Radley is the UK’s leading handbag brand, and the cool new Liverpool store will be home to the entire range.
In addition to the beautiful bags, you will also find small leather goods, luggage and umbrellas.
Karen Millen
THE boutique, on Bold Street, is one of the designer’s busiest beloved by Liverpool; girls for glitzy dresses and sexy suits, and the store in Liverpool One is expected to be just as fabulous. Key looks for autumn/ winter include sculptured bow tailoring, purple, black, grey and stone.
G Star
EDGY individual looks are at the heart of the G Star brand. Drop by for everything from jeans to T-shirts to hoodies.
Lakeland
OPENING in mid-October, Lakeland’s Liverpool store will be the first of its kind, unveiling a new look for the kitchen and homewares retailer. A one-stop shop for domestic goddesses.
