REGRESSION, rather than recession, is the word of the moment when it comes to choosing colours this season.

If we’re not wearing tartan – remember those kilts and polo necks adored by little girls in the 80s – then we’re splashing about more clashing hues than there are in a five-year-old’s paintbox.

To avoid looking like the tablecloth at a teddy bears’ picnic, ensure you chant the mantra “less is more” while entering any shopping environment.

A purple dress with a turquoise clutch looks edgy, but a green top with red trousers and a mustard tote looks like you’re perilously on the edge. ONE Park West, the landmark apartment block in the 42-acre Liverpool One development, is the location for this week’s fashion shoot.

Located on The Strand, with views across Liverpool's famous waterfront and adjacent 5-acre Chavasse Park, the 17-storey building was designed by Cesar Pelli.
