IT’S amazing that so many of us are wandering around in the wrong bra when we wouldn’t squeeze our Size 14 figures into a Size Eight dress or go out wearing a pair of jeans that would suit a much larger woman.

The fact is that a well-fitting bra can take pounds off your figure without giving up on the pre-Christmas treats, can make you walk taller and is better for your posture – so finding one that sits properly on your body is worth the effort.

Now there’s even less excuse for committing this fashion faux pas, as Liverpool is getting a lovely new lingerie store that offers a free expert measuring and fitting service.

To celebrate its opening at 18, Peter’s Arcade, in Liverpool One, Leia Lingerie is holding a launch party with the Pro team from Jemma Kidd Make-up School, and stylists from Saks’s Speke salon on hand to give mini make-overs.

As part of this evening of ultimate indulgence, each guest will be treated to a professional bra fitting with one of Leia’s trained fitters, who will ensure that you leave wearing lingerie that both fits perfectly and looks fabulous, providing advice on shapes and styles to suit all figures.

As well as receiving a lingerie set that’s just right for you, selected from the famous brands available in Leia’s stunning autumn/ winter collection (with sizes ranging from an A-K cup and from 28”-52” back), they will be treated to a makeover by one of the Jemma Kidd make-up artists.

To top off the night, Saks’s hair stylists will be on hand to give guests a professional blow-dry and offer personal hair-care advice, making sure they look absolutely fantastic when they step out of the store.

To complete the experience, there will be a gorgeous party bag to take home with goodies from Jemma Kidd, Saks and Leia Lingerie.

And, throughout the event, there will be plenty of bubbles to sip and canapés to taste to keep spirits uplifted.
