HAD he lived, Beatle George Harrison would be 65 on Monday and picking up his old age pension.
It is an occasion not being ignored by Liverpool’s Beatles Story attraction.
His birthday will mark the start of the Beatles Story VIP Birthday Pass, a spec- ial tour commem- orating each Beatle birthday in turn.
It will be followed by Paul McCartney’s 66th birthday on June 18, Ringo Starr’s 68th on July 7 and the sadly missed John Lennon’s on October 9. He would also have been 68.
The idea of the VIP Pass is that two special tours each day will concentrate on the birthday Beatle in question.
For Harrison, that will mean visits to all the sites and haunts associated with his life.
“It will be a specialised tour, more detailed than the Magical Mystery Tour and concentrating on that particular Beatle,” explained Beatles Story spokesman Jamie Bowman.
Taking the Beatles fans around will be Beatles expert Phil Hughes, a Blue Badge Tour Guide.
Harrison fans will visit his childhood home – just the exter- ior as the house is lived in – and see where he grew up and went to school
Tickets will be £25 with a ticket for all four birthday tours £85. Booking through group booking officer Charlotte Martin on 0151 709 1963.
