Two arrested over Ryan Wooley murder

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ryan Wooley, who was shot in a gangland execution style shooting in Wavertree.

Mr Wooley, 20, was gunned down in Taunton Street, off Picton Road, seconds after he bought pizza from a Wavertree fast-food shop, on Saturday, August 11.

He is believed to have died instantly after suffering a gunshot wound to the back of his head and shots to his chest.

Merseyside Police arrested the two men, a 36-year-old from Wavertree and a 22-year-old from Halewood, yesterday after executing warrants at addresses on Taunton Street.

Both were taken to a police station on Merseyside to be interviewed by detectives.
