A DANGEROUS man is on the run from police after he checked himself out of the Royal Liverpool University hospital.
Neil Anthony Lovell was released from prison on Friday October 5, having served 12 years for aggravated burglary, burglary, robbery and violence offences.
Merseyside Police are now urgently trying to locate the 41-year-old, who broke the conditions of his strict bail conditions on Monday by signing himself out of the city centre hospital.
He was admitted to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital in the early hours of Monday October 8, where he was diagnosed with a heart condition.
Both the hospital and Merseyside Police are concerned for his welfare. Officers are warning he is considered dangerous and should not be approached by the public.
Lovell was last seen leaving the hospital at 4.45am and was wearing a white shirt, black tracksuit bottoms, with a stripe from the knee down and black trainers.
Officers are carrying out extensive searches and are appealing for the public to help locate his whereabouts.
