A MAN is tonight recovering from knife wounds after he was attacked in Liverpool city centre.
Detectives say the victim was stabbed close to St John’s Lane close to St John’s Gardens memorial park and the Old Haymarket just before 6pm.
A police spokeswoman said he was taken to Liverpool University Hospital suffering from two stab wounds - which she termed as “non life threatening.”
Police put up temporary cordons around St John’s Lane and sections of the Old Haymarket while they carried out investigations.
Another man was tonight being quizzed by detectives in connection with the incident.
