A MAN has been arrested for the murder of a Land Rover driver who was fatally shot in the forehead as he drove through Merseyside.
Derek William Stevens, 35, was killed by a single shot fired from a handgun in Halewood on Saturday January 5.
The bullet pierced the windscreen of Mr Stevens’ gold-coloured Land Rover and hit him in the head as he drove along Mackets Lane.
Police arrested a 24-year-old man from Halewood and are currently questioning him.
It is understood Mr Stevens, who is from Halewood and has a young child, was waiting for his eight-and-a-half month pregnant girlfriend to give birth.
