Teenager murdered in Liverpool park

A TEENAGER has been murdered in Liverpool and another has been left with serious hand and arm wounds.

Police were called to an assault on Croxteth Drive near Sefton Park last night to attend an assault.

Two local youths were found injured and were taken to The Royal Liverpool Hospital where one of the two teenagers, a 17-year-old later died.

The other remains in hospital and is receiving treatment to his injuries.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the fatal assault and remain in various Merseyside stations for further questioning.

A forensic team is investigating the area and the flats where the attack took place has been sealed off.
