Seven arrested in Merseyside dawn drug raids

SEVEN people have been arrested in dawn raids this morning to crackdown on the supply of controlled drugs.

The raids were carried  out at six Liverpool addresses and one property in Widnes.

Officers seized more than two kilos of what is believed to be amphetamine, a mixing agent, a hydraulic press and £50,000 in cash.

Two of those arrested were arrested on suspicion of money laundering, the other five arrests were for conspiracy to supply.

All seven people have been taken to police stations on Merseyside where they will be interviewed by detectives.
