Arriva buses (200)
THOUSANDS of south Liverpool commuters were stranded this morning following a wildcat strike at bus company Arriva’s Speke depot.
Up to 70 drivers staged an unofficial walkout this morning crippling commuter services into the city.
Passengers were forced to flag down taxis in a bid to get to work on time.
An Arriva spokeswoman said today: “There was an unofficial walk out at Speke just after 6am this morning affecting between 60 and 70 drivers. We believe the action is independent of the union.”
No union representatives were available for comment.
