Fire crews battle Skelmersdale blaze

FIRE crews were today battling a blaze on an industrial estate in Skelmersdale.

Several gas canisters were found inside the fire which started at 3.15am in an engineering building in Selby Place on the Stanley Industrial Estate.

Canisters found inside the two-storey building are thought to contain acetylene.

Crews from Skelmersdale and Ormskirk have not yet established the cause of the blaze.
