Handgun fear as mugger pounces in Moreton

A ROBBER pulled a suspected handgun on a couple in a Moreton car park.

The robbery took place at around 10.30pm on Thursday, when a man and woman were in a car at the junction of Pasture Road and Leasowe Road.

A man approached the car and pointed what is believed to be a handgun at the couple and forced them to hand over a wallet and a handbag.

The man then walked away towards the seafront.

The suspect is described as a white, male, around 5ft 6/7inches tall, of slim build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black scarf which was pulled up to cover his face, a black waist length jacket, black tracksuit bottom and white trainers.
