Two in hospital after baseball bat brawl

A BRAWL that saw the two warring sides arm themselves with baseball bats erupted in a south Liverpool road today.

At around 2am, police were called to Beechwood Gardens, in Aigburth, after reports of a dispute between neighbours.

Officers arrived to find a vicious street fight underway outside a block of flats.

Two people - a 49-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman - were taken to hospital by paramedics. Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the brawl to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
