Ticketless Liverpool FC fans warned to stay at home

MERSEYSIDE Police are warning Liverpool FC supporters not to travelling to Belgium for the Standard Leige match without tickets.

Chief Superintendent Andy Ward said: "There is still a small allocation of tickets available from Liverpool Football Club, for those who qualify. However Liverpool Football Club has advised that there will be no tickets available to buy on the day of the game. I would therefore urge those without tickets not to travel to the game.

"Liverpool supporters should be aware that under Belgian football law if you are found within a 5km radius of the Standard Leige stadium without a valid ticket, Belgian Police could arrest and fine you.

"Liverpool supporters have an excellent track record for their behaviour. I am confident that this will continue and I would ask all supporters to be on their best behaviour and be mindful of the fact they are ambassadors for the city and the club."
