M58 chaos as lorry sheds load

A GRAIN lorry has shed its load on the M58 creating traffic chaos for peak hour commuters.

Part of the M58 eastbound and M6 northbound remains closed after a lorry overturned and spilled its cargo.

Manchester police were called the junction of the M6 and M58 at Orrell and the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment to broken ribs.

The motorways remain closed pending the recovery of the vehicle.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
