Pensioner trapped in truck collision

AN ELDERLY woman has been run over and trapped by a three ton truck.

The 75-year-old was involved in the accident outside the Wetherspoon pub on Prescot Road, in Kensington this morning.

Firefighters took 15 minutes to free her after the accident just after 9am.

The woman, believed to live locally, was conscious when she went to the Royal Liverpool University hospital for treatment.
