Natasha Hamilton's nightclub loses appeal against police closure

NATASHA Hamilton’s nightclub today lost an appeal to re-open its doors after police shut it down.

On Wednesday, licensing bosses ordered the suspension of the licence at H, on Victoria Street, after hearing of a recent stabbing and police concerns about the club’s clientele.

Today, the club went back to the council’s Licensing and Gambling sub-committee at the Town Hall in an attempt to reverse the decision.

But after a hearing lasting almost two hours, the ‘closed’ sign will stay up until October, when a full review of the club’s licence will take place.

H opened last November and soon became one of the places to be seen for local celebs.

But in recent months police say it has attracted several of the city’s most high-profile gangsters and known gun criminals.

A spokesman for Miss Hamilton, currently in New York, has denied the allegations and has pledged to cooperate with the police and licensing authority.
