Norris Green rape
POLICE this morning arrested a third youth in connection with the brutal rape of a 15-year-old girl in Norris Green.
The 16-year-old male, from the Anfield area, was arrested on suspicion of rape after officers executed a search warrant.
Two males aged 16 and 17, who were arrested on Friday, have now been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The 15-year-old rape victim was walking home across a disused railway bridge over Broadway, in Norris Green, at around 8.15pm last Friday when she was approached by a gang of six youths, some with scarves and hoods hiding their faces.
They grabbed the girl and dragged her down the embankment into some bushes where four of them raped her.
