THE business and home of a Southport businessman at the centre of a terror campaign have been raided by police.
EC Security on Hall Road, and John Ball’s Selworthy Road home were searched late this afternoon, July 23 2009.
Staff at the Hall Road site described how they were sent home as up to 20 officers in latex gloves thoroughly checked the premises and took away bags of unknown items.
Last night Merseyside Police confirmed that two warrants were executed at the properties, in connection with the assault of a 19-year-old man in Broad Hey, Bootle, last night at around 9.40pm.
The warrants are not connected to recent incidents in Sefton involving Mr Ball and business partner Terry Riley.
Both men’s houses have previously been shot at and businesses torched as well as attacks on relatives in a vendetta that began at the start of the year.
