Flying into trouble?

FLYGLOBESPAN, the Scottish airline which launched daily flights from Liverpool to New York is a blaze of glory in the summer, ends the route on October 31.

Since day one, the route has been dogged be complaints over punctuality, cancelled flights - and the fact several services travel via Ireland.

Things came to a head in July when some passengers were delayed for five days on the way back from New York.

The firm is promising to come back next year and try again, but would you travel with them? Did you travel with them and what was your experience? Should Liverpool Airport demand a minimum level of service if they return? Have the problems damaged Liverpool’s reputation?
