ONE of the UK's biggest bands are putting the finishing touches to their new album at a recording studio in the south Liverpool suburbs.

The Arctic Monkeys, who won the Mercury Prize following the amazing success of their debut record, Whatever You Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, are working at Liverpool's Motor Museum recording studios, just off Lark Lane.

The Sheffield rockers were caught going for dinner at trendy restaurant Negresco.

The four-strong band looked relaxed after finally completing their as-yet untitled second LP and were itching to try out Liverpool's famous night life.
