HUNDREDS of calls were made to Merseyside Fire and Rescue service this morning following flooding after two inches of rain fell in half an hour.
West Derby, Tuebrook and Dovecot were the worst affected areas, with flooding also reported in Wirral, Mossley Hill and on roads in Aintree and Toxteth.
Residents called the emergency services after the torrential downpour at 8am blocked drains.
No-one has been reported as being injured following the floods, but police are appealing for drivers to be cautious on the roads.
More rain is expected throughout the day and for the rest of the week.
