STAFF fled from masked robbers armed with hammers and a knife who burst into a jewellers at Ellesmere Port’s Cheshire Oaks Retail Park.
The two men, wearing balaclavas, burst into Chapelle jewellers on Tuesday, July 3 at 10.10am.
Staff fled to a storeroom and managed to leave through a fire exit.
The men smashed display cabinets and stole a large amount of jewellery.
They got into a black Vauxhall Astra parked nearby, with a third man in the driver’s seat. It was later found set alight and abandoned at the end of Stanney Mill Road.
One of the men is described as white, 6ft and slim, and wearing dark clothing, with the second man of a similar description but medium build.
