A DOZEN people living on a Wirral estate targeted by police investigating drugs and anti-social behaviour have asked for help with their addiction.
A police operation began two weeks ago on the Overchurch estate with two suspected “crack dens” being raided and closed down by officers in raids. More raids were carried out yesterday, targeting the Comet pub in Laird Street and Overchurch Hotel on the estate, along with some homes.
The two-week campaign has continued on the estate and the area around it with police and an anti-social behaviour team swamping it with leaflets.
These gave advice to those who need help with their drug use, and so far 12 people have contacted a drugs worker on the estate.
A police spokeswo- man said two men were arrested in the Overchurch Hotel, one for possession with intent to supply drugs and the other for possession.
