A MAJOR revamp of Bootle town centre has scooped a top transport industry award.
The three-year regeneration project won first prize in the “Walking and Public Realm” category of the National Transport Awards.
The £7m project has seen a range of improvements, including wider pavements, pedestrian crossings, junction works, public art and banners, new trees and the creation of a garden area.
