Father’s murder was a ‘revenge attack’

Thomas Harrison, killed in Huyton,

MURDERED father Thomas Harrison was stabbed in what police believe was a “revenge attack,” it was revealed last night.

Speaking as they confirmed the names of two men wanted in connection with the murder, detectives said they understood that the person involved in the fight with Mr Harrison had come back to seek retribution.

They confirmed that they were keen to speak to 31-year-old Kevin Keegan Corke, and 20-year-old Carl Anthony Taylor, both from Huyton.

It is understood that a police operation held in the early hours of yesterday morning to locate the half-brothers was unsuccessful and searches for the men, although centring around the UK, have also moved abroad.

The men wanted in connection with the brutal stabbing are the brother and half-brother of Anthony Walker’s murderer, Paul Taylor.

It is feared that Carl Taylor, known as “Chimpy”, and Kevin Corke have gone underground as they have not been seen since the incident in Huyton in the early hours of Sunday.

Paul Taylor, who, with his cousin, Michael Barton, is serving life for the racially aggravated murder of Anthony Walker in Huyton in July, 2005, is Carl Taylor’s brother and Kevin Cork’s half-brother.

Anthony, 18, was murdered with an ice axe in McGoldrick Park, Huyton, almost exactly two years ago.

A 24-year-old man has already been arrested by police as part of the investigation into Sunday’s murder, but has since been released on police bail.

He has been arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm and is currently awaiting interview.
