Trader murder

A 30-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with the attempted murder of a Wirral market trader.

Gerrard Murphy, of no fixed abode, will appear before magistrates today charged with attempted murder, burglary and possession of cannabis.

It comes after Bashir Ahmed, 63, was found with serious head injuries at his flat in The Woodlands, Birkenhead, on Thursday.
