Second attempted murder charge

A SECOND male has been charged with the attempted murder of Wirral market trader Bashir Ahmed.

The 16-year-old youth from Birkenhead will appear before magistrates today, also charged with burglary.

Police said the incident was now being treated as racially motivated.

Mr Ahmed, 63, remains in a critical condition.
