Three years for burglar

A BURGLAR who took part in a £45,000 raid from a car showroom has been locked up for three years.

Lee Hodgin, 20, was with others when they smashed their way into to T Williams garage in Oxton, Wirral and stole car keys from the safe, Liverpool Crown Court heard.

Geoffrey Greenwood, prosecuting, told the court the thieves forced the safe open and took five sets of keys and made off in the cars.

The court heard the total value of the cars stolen was £45,000 and the damage caused to the showroom on May 6 cost £2,000 to repair.
