Teenagers held over station robbery

FOUR teenagers have been arrested in connection with a robbery in which a 17-year-old had his mobile phone and cash stolen.

The victim, from Southport, was waiting for a train at Seaforth and Litherland station when he was dragged away from the platform by a gang, before being threatened and robbed.

Detectives from British Transport Police arrested four teenage boys from the Liverpool area, three aged 17, and one of 16.

The four have been released on police bail until September 22. The incident took place at about 10pm on Wednesday, August 15.

Officers believe witnesses at, or near the station may have seen the incident.
