THESE are two of 800 portraits of Liverpool people to be exhibited as part of the city’s birthday celebrations.
They were taken by eight photographers from all over the city and other parts of Merseyside, on the city’s 800th birthday on Tuesday.
Crosby family Finn, Paul and Eden O’Hanlon and Liverpool FC fan Pardeep Ubhi will be part of the jigsaw exhibition to capture the city’s character city in a day.
The project will be on show at the Grand Hall, Albert Dock, from tomorrow, and a preview is being held tonight at 6pm. Photographers worked with an assistant and the pictures were processed in one day for the exhibition. The project was created and coordinated by photographic company Popcultured in conjunction with Liverpool design agency Black & Ginger.
The photographers were Mark McNulty, Matt Wardle, Imke Oppenkamp, Benjamin Ball, Helen Palme, Peter Car, Matt For and David Colbran.
Mr McNulty, who has photographed many celeb- rities, including musician Candie Payne and designer Vivienne Westwood, said: “I am standing in the gallery with the photographs and it looks amazing. it’s hard to believe this is one day in Liverpool. It’s stunning.”
The exhibition opens 10am – 5pm every day at Albert Dock’s Grand Hall on Friday and is open ever yday until September 9 (10am – 8pm on Thursday).
