Celebrities back cat charity auction

EVERTON FC manager David Moyes and Mersey poet Roger McGough are among the cat-loving celebrities who have donated their “paw prints” in a bid to raise money for the UK’s leading feline welfare charity.

They have joined more than 20 others who are lending their support to Cats Protection’s Celebrity Paws auction, which runs from September 27 to October 6.

They include Prime Minister Gordon Brown, football pundit Gary Lineker and film star Sir Michael Caine.

Each were asked to draw round their hand, decorate it and then sign it to create a unique item. All the drawings are going to be auctioned online to raise vital funds for Cats Protection during its 80th year.
