Five hurt in road accident

FIVE people were injured in a road accident on Merseyside last night.
Emergency services were called to Rice Lane, in Walton, near its junction with Queens Drive, after two cars were involved in a collision.
One person suffered serious injuries in the accident just before 7pm, and four others received minor injuries.
All five were taken to Aintree Hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses.
