ON APRIL 11, we published an article, "Police Search for Video Pervert", in which were ported that police were hunting an unnamed man who had been filming children.

We reported details of the man's vehicle. In fact, Mr Forrest, the driver of the vehicle concerned, was filming entirely innocent footage of the Huyton area.

The police have confirmed that Mr Forrest was not filming children. He has never committed, nor was he ever hunted or questioned by the police in connection with any offence involving children.

We apologise to Mr Forrest for the distress and embarrassment caused and have agreed to pay him damages.
