Seven builders injured after scaffolding collapses

SEVEN building workers were injured when scaffolding collapsed at a building site in Liverpool city centre last night.

Emergency crews were called to the construction site, in Duckenfield Street, at 6.05pm.

It is believed the men fell around 30ft when the scaffolding collapsed underneath them. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The site was cordoned off for Health and Safety investigators to visit the scene.
