Baby Zack to be placed with foster parents

AN ABANDONED baby found in a Merseyside garden is due to be placed with foster parents after being released from Liverpool Women’s Hospital today.

Police are continuing to appeal for the mother of the newborn baby, named Zack by nurses, to come forward.

The boy was found by a couple on Delagoa Road, Fazakerley, last week, when they heard a noise they thought was a cat.

Merseyside Police believe the mother could be local to the area and are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

Zack had been wrapped in towels and placed inside a bag. Police believe he was just hours old when he was abandoned in the garden.
