The covered up teachers car at Runnymede St Edwards College, West Derby, after a nail bomb blew up inside it _320
A 21-YEAR-OLD Merseyside man was under arrest today on suspicion of blowing up a car outside a Liverpool primary school.
The Huyton man was being questioned after a high-powered firework detonated a nail bomb inside a teacher’s Nissan Micra at Runnymede St Edward’s last Friday.
Officers have been patrolling the private West Derby school since the explosion, which happened only minutes before the final bell.
The suspect was arrested yesterday on suspicion of causing an explosion.
Earlier in the week parents said the teacher who owns the damaged car is a mother of two in her 40s who is popular with children and staff.
