Fears for missing teenager growing

FEARS are growing for the safety of a 16-year-old who has not been seen by his family since August 5.

Lee Thomas Wedge told his mother he was going to work away, laying Tarmac with some travellers he had met.

Cheshire police say the teenager phoned her on August 6 to say he was in the Reading area and was then going to Bristol.

He last contacted his mother on August 29 and told her he would be home on August 31 and has not been in touch since.

His family told police they had become particularly concerned for his wellbeing when he failed to attend his mother’s wedding.

He is described as white, 5ft 2inches, of slim build with short mousy hair and green eyes.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 0846 4580000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

His family say that they just want to know that he is safe and well and do not need to know his exact whereabouts.
