Boxer celebrates title win at city’s newest bar

BOXER Derry Matthews successfully retained his WBU featherweight title in London – then headed back to celebrate his victory in style at one of Liverpool’s newest venues.

The Liverpool star held a celebratory party at Cafe Sport England, the new restaurant and bar which is part-owned by Liverpool FC footballer Jamie Carragher.

Matthews made light work of his latest opponent, Matthew Marsh, with a textbook boxing performance which came to an end in the 11th round.
