Deadline for bus passes

OVER-60s in Ellesmere Port and Neston are being urged to apply for their new free bus passes before the end of October to make sure their passes are ready in time for April, 2008.

The current concessionary bus travel scheme is changing next April allowing anyone over 60 to enjoy free local travel on all English buses.

But new and existing bus pass holders must apply for their new pass by the end of October to make sure it arrives in time.

The new national concessionary travel scheme will apply to travel by local bus anywhere in England from 9.30am to 11pm on weekdays, and all day at weekends and Bank Holidays.
